Good luck on whatever you choose.Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06407957227501652294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14529764.post-60168071622608045522007-02-17T11:47:00.000-06:002007-02-17T11:47:00.000-06:00You have good friends! I nursed Norah til 2 days...Sarah,
I feel your pain. I nursed Norah til 2 days before her 1st birthday (with 9 teeth), but in the end, I wasn't producing enough for her, so I had to supplement with formula. (I still have a partial canister that you're more than welcome to)

For the last month, I tapered her nursing sessions to just before bed time only. It helped her get used to drinking from something other than me, since the bottle was the only place she could get it during the day. I didn't feel like a quitter because I technically DID nurse her until the 1-year mark, which was my goal, and since we did the tapering thing, it made it easier on both of us when it was time to quit.

I can also relate to the "weird" feeling...when they get close to that 1-year mark, and start making eye contact---Norah would even sometimes look up at me and say, "Hi", mid-swallow. It really was strange. I guess that's God's way of helping us deal with them growing out of nursing stage. Good luck with your debacle.Angela Robinsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04794686427734690984noreply@blogger.com
